This and that

The Two Fridas (1939) - Frida Kahlo

Life feels like a double prism. This push/pull interaction that keeps an object intact. It appears in everything. The duality of nature. The softness and the sacred vs the hardened and profane. A swift drift towards one will sling you back towards the other and maybe the journey along the way will flash a glimmer of what’s important as a whole.

April 12th, 2025 – Sun Conjunct Chiron

On April 12th, the Sun meets Chiron at 22° Aries — a yearly rendezvous between our sense of self and our inner healer. This is where clarity meets the wound, and the ego gets a reality check.

Chiron’s medicine isn’t always sweet. It stings first. It exposes the cracks — the quiet fears of not being enough, the echoes of past rejection or invisibility. But these aren’t just wounds — they’re doorways.

April 12th, 2025 – Venus Goes Direct

Also on April 12th, Venus stations direct at 24° Pisces, returning from the depths of it’s retrograde period.

Over the past weeks, Venus has led us inward — beneath the noise, beneath surface-level cravings — to reconnect with what truly stirs our hearts. It’s been murky under the water.

But now things are clearing. Venus aligns with Saturn, anchoring our desires in something lasting and real. We know what we value now — and we’re ready to stand by it.

April 12th, 2025 – Full Moon in Libra

Later that same day, a Full Moon rises at 23° Libra — illuminating our relationships, our patterns, our reflection in the mirror of others.

Opposing Chiron in Aries and squaring Mars in Cancer, this brings up our old armor: the instinct to withdraw, to protect the heart before it can be hurt. But maybe we’ve always been too quick to push people away before they can get too close.

A trine to Jupiter in Gemini shows us another way. Connection doesn’t require perfection. Vulnerability isn’t weakness. This is a moment to soften, to open, to let others meet us where we are.
